Honeycutt chosen to attend Nursing Excellence Institute

CLINTON, N.C. (AP) _
3HC nurse Teresa Honeycutt was selected to attend the 2005 Institute for Nursing Excellence May 23-27 at Montreat conference Center in Black Mountain.

Ms.Honeycutt, whose territory includes Sampson County, was one of 25 nurses selected from over 350 candidates to attend the Institute.


Sharing about Ms. Honeycutt’s skills, one patient’s family member describes her as “a jewel. She loves her job, is sincere, kind, honest, caring and professional. She strives to meet all the needs of her individual patients and family and does this in a way to make them feel they are the only patient she has.”


The Institute for Nursing Excellence seeks to reward outstanding nurses, encourage them to remain in the profession, improve their capacity for leadership, and enhance their ability to be role-models and to attract other individuals into the profession. Topics during the weeklong event include the art of nursing, lifelong learning, teamwork, leadership, and lifestyle management.


Ms.Honeycutt resides with her husband and two sons in Clinton. She is an active member of McGee United Methodist Church where she holds the role of choir director and newsletter editor.


She is a graduate of Sampson Community College.
